Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Los Angeles, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 5 pmβ2 am. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Thai Angel at (323) 798-5575; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is thaiangel.bar, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 212 reviews, which is a strong result for a thai restaurant in Los Angeles and suggests consistent service.
Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Came here for the first time to catch up with a friend over drinks and Thai food, and it turned out to be a great experience. The atmosphere is very chill and intimate, with a small dive-bar style setup that feels relaxed and perfect for unwinding. The music is at a good volume, the lighting is cozy, and overall the vibe makes it a nice spot for both casual hangouts and low-key date nights. The service was friendly and accommodating, and even though the place is small, everything felt well organized and comfortable. The food and drinks were consistently enjoyable, and the overall experience made it easy to just sit back and enjoy the moment. Definitely a place I would come back to for the atmosphere alone. One small downside is that the website doesnβt really provide much useful information, which makes it harder to get a clear idea of the menu or details beforehand, but overall the in-person experience more than makes up for it. Honestly calling it a βwebsiteβ feels generous β itβs more like a digital ghost town. At this point Iβm not even sure itβs online or just a decorative rumor on the internet

Jumped in for the first time to catch up with a friend over beers and Thai food and guess what, I had a great first time! Ordered the Pad See Ew and it was SCRUMPTIOUS! Literally didn't want to carry on any conversation once I had the first bite untill I finished the whole plate...it was that GOOD! Otherwise, staff is friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is a perfect dive bar setting: small, intimate, chill, nice tunes and not too loud = max vibes! Definitely a neighbor favorite for me!!

My husband And I found Thai Angel while visiting Los Angeles from Sacramento. We were looking for quick Thai food and found a gem. Great food and service and an overall chill vibe. We came on a Wednesday night and walked right in to Karaoke! The crab friend rice was delicious and they have cute merch. We will be back!

Chillest place for a bottle beer and amazing Thai food. This place is skinny and small. One side booths the other side bar. Wouldnβt bring a party over 4/5 unless you wanna squeeze tight in the booths or split up. Great place for coming alone! Music is really great and a good volume and the tvs arenβt playing sports (big plus for me) lights get adjusted throughout the day and super groovy/romantic. Great place for a date night or to mingle with some friends! You can sit any where basically. Both the bar and booths are welcoming and comfy. If it is busy, order at the bar. 1 cook 4 bar tenders total but slow days 1 cook 1/2 bar tender. Always amazing food and service. As per my other reviews at bars im a beer boy my fiancΓ© is a cocktail angel. Lil sad they only have bottle beer and no draft HOWEVER they have a cocktail called soi cowboy that let me forget that pain. Basically a spiked Thai tea. Absolutely AMAZING. I have ordered a pad see ew, drunken noodles, fried tofu, wings, their soups ALL are a winner. Portions are pretty good for the price. I donβt eat meat so the fried tofu isnβt extra which is nice. Pad See Ew π£ crispy! saucey! flavorful! This is top dog, was very ver
